Title: ColdFusion Web Application Developer

Description:
Alternative Systems is seeking 4-5 Cold Fusion Web Application Contractors to join our development team on a temporary one to two month contract. These positions are temp to perm positions, with possible full time employment available for exemplary developers.
Candidates will be offered monthly compensation from $3500-$6000 depending on experience.
Applicants must reside within the U.S. and must be eligible to work in the United States. These positions are telecommuting positions, but applicants within the Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN metro area are preferred.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Create applications, based on product specifications, in ColdFusion 8, SQL Server, Cascading Style Sheets, JavaScript (AJAX), Flash Action Script (Optional).
2. Test and revise applications to insure that only quality, bug free software is delivered to the client.
3. Write application documentation – this may include on line help, manuals, tip sheets, etc.
4. Provide technical support and act as a liaison to clients with a range of computing skills - from assistants to company presidents to seasoned IT professionals.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
1. At least 2 -3 years experience developing web applications using ColdFusion (MX 6 through CF 8 Required).
2. At least 3 years experience with HTML, Cascading Style Sheets, and JavaScript.
3. At least 2 years experience writing SQL statements and at least 1 year of experience using Microsoft SQL Server.
4. Candidate must have previously worked in a team environment on a medium or large-scale web application.
5. Candidate must be able to work at least 20 - 40 hours per a week at his or her own home or a location of their choice within the U.S. They must be available during standard business hours.
6. Candidate must have private, quiet work area, with a phone line and high-speed Internet connection, personal computer, and a developer’s copy of ColdFusion 8.
7. Candidate must be self-motivated and able to work independently, with minimal supervision, as well as being able to work within a larger team.
8. Candidate must be able to adapt to new programming standards quickly and efficiently, solve problems independently, and make good, steady progress on project.
9. Candidate must be able to provide two (preferably three) good references for their ColdFusion skills.
